Even when we want to make more money and enjoy the freedom and lifestyle that comes with it, many of us are also afraid of the big responsibility that comes with greater success. From the fear of working longer hours, to being responsible for the welfare of more clients to the possibility of being sued – this fear of the many responsibilities that come with success can feel scary and overwhelming.
These fears often swirl around in our head like the endless list of things that need to get done around the house. And when we don’t focus on the slow draining water in the tub or sink, often it becomes a big huge clog that costs us a lot of time, energy and money to repair. If only we had paid attention to the problem when it was just a slow drain or tiny clog – rather than waiting until we had to call the plumber and dig up the front yard. Please don’t ignore what is slowing you down. Face it and overcome it, before it causes enormous damage in your life.
I have seen clients over the years develop a phobic response – becoming almost paralyzed by what they think is “fear of failure.” Yet when we examined Kate’s fear, for example, it became clear that her real fear was of disappointing others. And when we examined that even closer, we found she had a fear of being “not good enough.” When we looked at her fear closely, it wasn’t about “fear of failure” at all.
It turns out Kate’s fears were related to her relationship with her sibling who rejected Kate all throughout their childhood. And that rejection continued to haunt Kate, like the slow clogging of the drain. And she projected her sibling’s judgment and her own fear onto others. Kate never wanted to feel that rejection pain again. So she unconsciously sabotaged herself because an old issue (her clog) never got addressed and eventually got out of control. Rather than clearing the drain, Kate learned how to live in standing water.
Don’t let your little issues become big huge energetic “clogs.” If you think fixing yourself sounds expensive, take a few minutes to examine what it has already cost you – financially, emotionally, spiritually – to not deal with your energetic “clogs.” And even worse, think about what it will cost you in your future.
Using EFT is a gentle way to find these little clogs and clear them out. I have seen clients completely shift in one session – letting go of these projections and debilitating fears. I have had clients fully face their fears, debate them and leave my office empowered.
Fear is an ugly monster that can become a hairy mess and clog up your dreams. Don’t let it stop you. Take charge of your life using EFT. Find a skilled practitioner or EFT event that is going to put you on your own path to success.
